The Castle

The castle is in a particularly fascinating context between Langhe and Monferrato. It already appears in the distance as a grandiose mass that detaches itself from the roofs.
You go up a slope that leads close to the ramparts, but only by turning around you realise the vast dimensions of its walls.
The complex consists of a building enclosed by four cornered towers, square and massive, originally the towers were crenellated at the corners.

The Floors

The actual castle that stands on the right, retains the original four floors layout that dates back to the 12th Century, although the portal was restored in 1884. The total available living area is 1288 sq.m.
On the Ground Floor, the staircase to the Noble Floor was designed by Juvarra, and the well in the atrium originally gave the name to the castle which was called Acquosana Castle, which is translated as “Healthy Water Castle”.
To the left of the entrance, there is the access to the original kitchen of the castle, that has two large storage rooms. The kitchen also has an independent access from the front of the castle.

On the Noble Floor (First Floor) one is immediately struck by the amazing large salon. There are two dining rooms accessible from the salon, one to the right and one to the left. The Noble Floor has been recently renovated so there are four bedrooms and a small kitchen.

There are two floors above the Noble Floor. On The Second Floor there are six rooms and four bathrooms, while on the Third Floor there is a total of eight rooms and a bathroom.

The Annexes

Past the entrance you access the large garden of 1690 sq.m. built on the bastion, where you can enjoy the amazing top view of the valley.
On the left there is a porticoed building, added to the original building in the last century, preserving the medieval style as in the external enclosure.
From the garden we can access the monumental 1418 sq.m. cellar built inside the ramparts. It is dug into the tuff, and the exposed bricks are enchanting.
