Fantastic rustico to restore

This rustico is situated in (altitude 720m) a stunning breathtaking and very quiet area, with a splendid view to the Italian Alps.

Work has begun on an, approx. 200 m2, house in 2 levels, and can be extended to a 450 m2 in total. The plot – 32,500 m2 – is heavily sloping to the south, giving unobstructed views of the countryside, still with a really good flat courtyard in front of the house, big enough for a pool. There is a pleasant temperature from early spring to late autumn with only a weak breeze, never depressing and no mosquitos – due to the height. The winter may be cold, but with beautiful days and clear visibility to the Alps with, the always snowy tip, Monviso, – actually the “birthplace” of the river Po. The surrounding nature is primarily woodland and fields with hazelnut trees, but where the vineyards is still just around the corner.

The municipality – Bonvicino- consists of a permanent population of 125 people at an arear of 7.2 km2, where you will find the town hall, a local trattoria/café/pizzeria “Garian” and a private B&B.

The slightly larger village – Dogliani(about 4,800 people in) is located 8 km from the house and is a typical Italian village with shops, cafes, weekly market, really good eatery/enoteca “Caffe Riviera” and the presence of the always pompous “Domes/churches”. Dogliani is also the birthplace of, the now deceased, Michele Ferrero the founder of the famous Ferrero chocolate and the well-known “Nutella”.
The nearby vineyards produce Dolcetto wines while other fields are growing the world-famous delicious hazelnuts. Some say, that the ultimate wine experience is La Morra and Barolo, 24 respectively 20 km from here. (half an hour’s drive).
